Seed categories
These categories should be created in Discourse and pinned with guidelines before residents are invited.
Documents

Assessments, reserves, insurance, wall debt, vendor costs, and financial questions.
Maintenance
Photo evidence, responsibility mapping, common elements, safety concerns, and repair history.

Neighbor listening sessions, document review nights, and resident education meetups.
Verification
Verification deters outsiders, but it is not legal proof of ownership. Keep the process practical and privacy-aware.
Use invite-only sign-up or an offline shared invite link/access code.
Enable must_approve_users so a moderator approves each new account.
Optionally require a minimum trust level before posting broadly.
Pin the guidelines and keep flagging plus email notifications enabled.
Guidelines
These should be pinned in Discourse as the Guidelines/FAQ topic.
Use topic titles that name the issue, document, meeting, or cost driver.
Mark claims as source-backed, resident observation, question, or opinion.
Do not post private addresses, personal disputes, or unverified accusations.
Keep criticism focused on documented conditions, decisions, process, and organizational performance.
